Step into the fascinating world of preservation and learn the meticulous art of rogue taxidermy! In this intensive, beginner-friendly workshop, you will be guided through every step of creating a classic shoulder/head mount of a raccoon. We skip the messy skinning process so you can dive straight into the artistry of sculpting and mounting.

What You'll Learn & Do:

Pelt Preparation: Work with a professionally pre-fleshed and tanned raccoon head pelt. You'll learn the proper techniques to rehydrate the skin, making it pliable and ready for a flawless mount.

Form & Feature Sculpting: Prepare your professional foam manikin form. You'll use specialized clay and poly additives to sculpt life-like anatomical details, ensuring your raccoon has a realistic, expressive face.

Setting the Eyes: Discover the industry secrets to positioning and installing high-quality taxidermy glass eyes to give your piece a natural, captivating gaze.

The Final Mount: Learn how to apply specialized taxidermy hide paste to bond the pelt securely to the foam form, tuck the lips and nose, and use pinning techniques to lock the fur and features into place while it dries.

Absolutely no prior taxidermy experience is required! This is a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to the craft in a clean, supportive, and creative environment. We provide all professional supplies—including the tanned pelts, foam forms, glass eyes, clay, and sculpting tools.

You will leave with your very own completed raccoon head mount, ready to dry at home and eventually hang proudly on your gallery wall.
